68,176 counterfeit auto parts seized

SHARJAH — Around 68,176 counterfeit auto spare parts of various brands and 1,329 packaging materials carrying the names of such brands were seized yesterday in Sharjah markets by inspectors of the Consumer Protection Directorate of the Sharjah Municipality.

Gang of cable thieves arrested in Ajman

AJMAN — A gang of theves involved in a series of cable and wire thefts at construction sites and companies in the Ajman industrial zone, has been busted with the arrest of its three members. The gang broke into various premises and stole wires and cables worth Dh 60,000.

AJMAN — Due to the rapid development of real estate and rise in population, the Ajman Civil Defence Department plans to introduce an advanced fire alarm system to connect establishments and towers with the operations room.

Four furniture warehouses are gutted

SHARJAH — Four warehouses, stocking furniture and food stuff, located in the Sharjah Fifth Industrial area, were yesterday gutted. No human casualties were reported.
